Crypto Junior Podcast Producer at blocmates

Position Overview:

The blocmates Podcast Network is seeking a creative and talented junior Podcast Producer to join our team. As the Podcast Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our podcasts, video and audio.  

‍

These podcasts focus on the crypto industry and frequently feature industry experts. This role requires a creative and organized individual who can manage all aspects of podcast production, from content planning and recording to repurposing and distribution.

‍

Key Responsibilities:

‍

1. Podcast Production:

‍

Plan, organize, and execute the production schedule for all podcasts under the blocmates media umbrella.

‍

Collaborate with hosts, co-hosts, and guest experts to develop compelling episode topics and content related to the crypto industry. This should include emerging trends, current topical stories and the right guests to expand on this story with. 

‍

Booking relevant guests for the show based on trending or emerging areas of interest. 

‍

Ensure high-quality audio recording and sound design for each episode which are 100% remote recordings.

‍

2. Content Development:

‍

Stay informed about the latest trends, news, and developments in the crypto industry.

‍

Assist in developing episode outlines, notes, research, scripts, and interview questions specifically tailored to crypto topics.

‍

Provide creative input to enhance the overall quality and appeal of the crypto-focused shows.

‍

Episodes must be repurposed into short-form clips and distributed across YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms. 

‍

3. Audio Editing and Post-production:

‍

You will not be required to edit the episodes, we have an in-house editor to do this which you will work closely with. Your main focus in post-production will be extracting enticing clips for short-form videos and helping the editor with which sections should be used for intros and where sponsorship placement should be across the episode etc. 

‍

4. Distribution and Promotion:

‍

Upload episodes related to cryptocurrency to podcast hosting platforms YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Google Podcasts etc. 

‍

Create and schedule episode releases in accordance with the content calendar and CMO.

Liaise with the CMO on repurposed short-form distribution across YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram and schedule the release of such content. 

‍

5. Team Collaboration:

‍

Work closely with hosts, co-hosts, guest experts and editors to ensure smooth production processes.

‍

Communicate regularly with team members to provide updates on episode progress and scheduling.

‍

Collaborate with graphic designers and marketing teams for podcast Thumbnail ideas and designs to help with reach.

‍

Qualifications:

‍

Priority number 1 - Deep knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and trends.

‍

Proven experience in podcast production, with a portfolio of successful shows, preferably in the crypto or finance niche.

‍

Understanding of short-form content and its value proposition

‍

Social media chad 

‍

Strong knowledge of growth hacks and tricks 

‍

Strong organizational and project management skills.

‍

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

‍

Creativity and a passion for storytelling, particularly related to crypto topics.

‍

Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

‍

Flexibility to adapt to evolving podcast formats and styles.

‍

Additional Information:

‍

This is a full-time position based at our podcast studio or a remote working arrangement, depending on the candidate's location.

‍

Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience and industry standards.

‍
